Cooler weather in Vanuatu, June 1, 2014
The cooler weather causes an afternoon at the beach to be windy and cool.
Cooler weather also causes creatures like these to try to find a warmer place to hide. We are told that there are no poisonous snakes in Vanuatu except for some black and white water snakes.
Woodworking class for 4 young boys
Our pastor's wife asked Corney to run a woodworking class for four young boys since her son has an interest in woodworking. Most of these boys are home-schooled so this is part of their learning. They are working on a collapsible deck chair. They are all busy sanding the pieces for the chair. We will post pictures of the finished product in a few weeks.
Ethan Gibb, our pastor's son
William, Ethan's friend
Jeremy Ellison, his parents teach at Joy Bible Institute
Joel Pashcke, his parents are here in Vanuatu as missionaries with Scripture Union

Corney had opportunity to build and install two screen doors for Andrew and Noelene Fox who are working in Vanuatu with the Presbyterian Reformed Church.
Arrival back in Vanuatu March 2014
Back to Vanuatu March 2014
We left behind a house that we sold
We packed all of our belongings into the shop that we built on our new piece of property
We left our three grandchildren behind after having an enjoyable week-end together
And then got on a plane and headed back to Vanuatu
We arrived back in Vanuatu on March 30, 2014. We received the invitation to return to Vanuatu from Ross and Lyndal Webb (pictured above) in December 2013. Ross and Lyndal Webb have been directors of the SIL Vanuatu branch for 11 years and have now resigned as directors and have returned to Australia for their return assignment. The new directors will be working remotely from the USA for the next few months so hence the reason for us returning to Vanuatu to help with the finances and maintenance until the end of July. Ross and Lyndal were fare-welled many times in the last few weeks. In the picture above the celebration was put on by the employees who work here at the centre.
